Education is the most important of human needs. All the developed civilizations of  world got rise due to education. There had been a need of knowledge in every round of the world. In past centuries, the importance of those cities was enormous where educational centers were established. And knowing seekers would came there from every corner of the world to get knowledge cities like Cairo, London or Baghdad were Of the importance due to educational activities. All the religions and civilizations had emphasized on the importance of knowledge and had declared it an integral part of the life. In Islam, seeking knowledge is called mandatory and it is stated in Quran that “ seek knowledge from cradle to grave”. It is all because, we can bring changes in our lives only through education. For this purpose they have established hundreds of quality schools. Most of those schools are for day scholars but there are dozens of residential schools for boarding students too. Private sector in Pakistan is also working for betterment of educational situation and had built many residential schools which are providing quality education at a low fee. Aitchison College is a prestigious residential College, located in Lahore. It has been serving the nation for centuries in imparting students with quality education. Aitchison College was founded in 1886 by British Raj to educate the children of rulers of Punjab. Charles Aitchison was appointed as first principal.

PAF Public School Sargodha is a renowned and leading school. It is located in Sargodha. Sargodha is one of few cities which were built with proper planning. Sargodha is 5th most populated city in Punjab. Sargodha is located at a distance of 206 kms from provincial capital Lahore.
3. Army Burn Hall College, Abbottabad
Arm Burn Hall College is one of the oldest schools in Pakistan. It was a founded in 1948 by father Tijssen in a small hotel. Father Scanlon was the first principal.
Mr. Mallet and Borekamp were other notables in the staff.
4. Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur

Sadiq Public School was established in 1953 by Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V in Bahawalpur District. Bahawalpur is famous for castles and forts built by Abbasi rulers. Bahawalpur is connected to the other parts of the country via road and railway lines. Bahawalpur is at a distance of 100 Kilometers from Multan and 392 Kilometers from Lahore.
Military College Jhelum is the oldest military College in Pakistan, it was built in British Era in 1922. This institution was founded by Prince of Wales, Prince Edward VIII in Sarai e Alamgir. At that time its name was ‘ King George Royal Indian Military School ‘. After partition it was named as Military College Jhelum. This school is serving nation in the field of education since 1947 and till now it has produced thousands of students.
It covers an area of 170 acres.
The moto  of this school is “ knowledge and action”.
Lawrence College Ghora Gali was founded in 1960 by brigadier general Henry Montgomery. This school is located in foothills of Himalayas and Peer panjal. Which is at a distance of 57 Kilometers from Islamabad. This school has a  total area of 150 acres.
It is a military College, situated in tehsil Sui of District Dera Bugti, Balochistan. This institution was established in 2011 with a purpose of giving quality education to bright students of Balochistan province. And providing them physical and mental training.

Chand Bagh School Muridke is a fully residential School, located at Muridke - Sheikhupura. About 40 Kilometers from Lahore in a picturesque and serene landscape of about 190 acres.
9. Cadet College Murree

Cadet College Murree is located at Kashmir point Murree. This school was founded for provide quality education to the students of Pakistan.
10. Cadet College Kohat

Cadet College Kohat was established in 1965 on special request from Mr. Fateh Khan Bandyal, than  Deputy Commissioner of Kohat. This college has an area of 146 acres. It has a cricket ground, a football ground, six quash courts and a baseball ground.
Now this institute has transformed into a great institution comprising of 6 houses.
